New (to us) Radio Equipment-

Shandaken Ambulance would again like to extend their gratitude to the Arlington Fire District of Poughkeepsie, NY for their donation of 10 additional Motorola Minitor 2 pagers with chargers to the Town of Shandaken Ambulance. This most recent donation allows the Ambulance Service to outfit all in- town employees with alerting pagers which summon additional off duty employees to staff a second ambulance when the on duty crew is in need of assistance or already transporting a patient to the hospital. This most recent donation saves the taxpayers of Shandaken an additional $4,500 over the cost of new pagers, and in addition to the previous pagers donated to the squad provides a network of backup personnel to respond if needed to emergency scenes.

New EMS Gear-
Shandaken Ambulance Squad gave thanks this week to New Paltz Rescue Squad and Chief Jim Coddington for their gracious donation of 10 sets of turnout gear to the Town of Shandaken Ambulance saving a total of approximately $20,000.00.

In Memory of Hope Gilsinger-
Shandaken Ambulance would like to express their condolences to the Family and friends of past member Hope Gilsinger. Hope was an active member of the Ambulance Squad for many years and a strong woman whom was very active within the Town of Shandaken and devoted to improvement and progression within the Town. You will be sorely missed and we thank you for your years of service. We would also like to thank all whom have donated in memory of Hope and we will assure that her legacy of committment to the Town of Shandaken will follow her in the years to come.
